Since 1980, we have been building and fitting out steel boats. All the boats in the Starline Narrowboats Holiday Hire Fleet have been designed, built & fitted out by ourselves, however in addition to hire boats, we also build for private customers, both for leisure, extended cruising & residential use. We are able to offer new steel boats, built to any length, width & style, and to any stage of completion. We build to order, with the boat specifications tailored to our customers specific requirements. We design the boats in partnership with our customers, and do our best to interpret any style of layout or individual requirement our customers have. |
| In recent years we have also built both wide and narrow beam, residential and day boats, catering for the many specialised needs of disabled people. We have designed & fitted lifts & hoists, disabled bathrooms & galleys and we have developed, in conjunction with TEC Technology, a remote joy stick steering & engine control system, to complement conventional tiller / wheel steering, and the engine throttle & gear controls. |  Joy Stick Steering in Use |
